Cross Stitch Inspirational Designs
Blessings, mottoes and inspirational sayings have long been popular topics for cross stitch patterns. Today, there is some exquisitely beautiful art work available in inspirational designs. Here are just a few of the many we have at Kooler Design Studio. Sandy Orton has given us a stunning rendition of the modern-day parable, "Footsteps." The text, in elegant script, is contained within a cross-shaped field. The background depicts lacy waves in all the shades of the sea, lapping at a sandy shore where one set of footprints tells you that you will be carried when your strength falters. Sandy also has adapted a sensitive portrait of Mother Teresa, with her quote, "Give your hands to serve and your heart to love." On a lighter note, Sandy offers up a simple prayer in "Give Us, Lord." Centered in a bright and cheerful country scene is the verse, "Give us, Lord, a bit o' sun, a bit o' work, and a bit o' fun. Give us all in the struggle and sputter, our daily bread and a bit o' butter." Flowers, bees and butterflies, the sun rising over rolling farmland, two industrious children and a homey plate of bread and butter complete the design. Linda Gillum brings her touch of whimsy to one of the most inspiring of quotations, the prayer of St. Francis. The words are a creed to live by: "Lord, make me an instrument of your peace…" In the design, though, St. Francis is represented by a winsome bear in a monk's robe, surrounded by his animal friends. This is simply irresistible! Kooler Design Studio, Inc. 3527 Mt. Diablo Blvd. #256 Lafayette, CA 94549 E-mail: info@koolerdesign.com www.koolerdesign.com
