Sandy Orton, designer and expert on adapting old artwork into stitchery, is adept in the use of specialty stitches and creating historically correct samplers as well as wonderful Victorian stitchery treasures. She is the designer of Craftways/Better Homes & Gardens best-selling series of Christmas stockings. Now that her children are in college, gardening keeps her busy when she's not designing. Sandy has two degrees (fine art and history) from the University of California at Davis. Shown below are a few of her designs from her private collection.
