Missy is stitching away on the needlepoint canvas for her dad. She finished the house and most of the green hand. I’m still helping with the background when she’s not working on it.
Last week, her twin sister, Andrea, came into the family room and saw us working on our projects, so she went to the garage and found a pair of bibs that she loved and wanted to make for her hope chest/future baby someday. She chose a stamped cross stitch pair with colorful bunnies. Her work is very nice and the tension is even.
Teaching my daughters to love the needlearts has been a dream of mine for years. At last, they are both working on and enjoying their projects. Maybe they’ll discover what we all know, working with our hands is rewarding and relaxing.
